A Rockingham figure of a gentleman and dog; a Derby figure of a girl; and a Staffordshire porcelain figure of a lady and dog
THE FIRST CIRCA 1830, INCISED No. 4; THE SECOND MODEL CIRCA 1820, INCISED No. 57; THE THIRD CIRCA 1840
The first modelled as a gentleman wearing a wide-brimmed, plumed hat, a brown jacket, blue breeches, carrying a bag on his back, he stands leaning on a tree-stump holding a staff with a dog at his feet holding out a paw, on a rocky gilt-scrolled base (hand re-stuck, losses to staff in his hand, hairline crack to tree-stump); the Derby girl modelled standing with cropped brown hair, wearing an orange bodice and striped dress painted with blue flowers, she holds a lamb in her arms and stands barefoot on a mottled grassy circular base pierced with gilt scrolls (slight hairline crack to her neck and left shoulder, rubbing to gilding on base); the Staffordshire model of a lady wearing a plumed hat and white dress enriched in gilt, she holds a basket full of colourful flowers with a spaniel to her right, its coat enriched in patches of brown, on a rocky mound base (minor chipping to flowers and rubbing to enamels and gilding)
