                                            A Meissen two-handled urn-shaped vase and pierced cover 
LATE 19TH CENTURY, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, INCISED F26., PRESSNUMMER
After an original by M.V.ACIER, painted with a Watteauesque scene of a couple in landscape, the reverse with a landscape, within gilt quatrefoil cartouches, with plain and gilt serpent-entwined handles, the pierced cylindrical cover surmounted by a wreath finial, the rim of the cover and edge of the footrim applied with bands of wreaths, on a square foot (overpainting to socle base)
