twin-handled, the handles modelled as grotesque beasts, enriched allover with a dark-blue-ground painted in gilt with butterflies, dragonflies and other insects, the slightly domed cover with broad flutes and with an acorn finial -- 19in. (48.2cm.) high, circa 1825 (slight wear and surface scratches)
