An officer, possibly of the Royal Artillery, in blue coat with scarlet facings, gold epaulette, white waistcoat and frilled cravat, powdered wig
pendant frame with seed pearl and plaited hair border, the reverse with mourning motif of applied amphora and pedestal monument inscribed 'They rest in Heaven tho' lost to me.-' and further inscribed under a willow tree, within paste surround and blue glass border
