gouache heightened with gold on paper, riding a dappled-grey horse across the plain to the left, wearing ornate dress he holds a long lance in his left hand, hills beyond, black and white meandering vine border, red leaf, gold inscription above, Kangra or Udaipur, 19th century - 13¼ x 9½in. (33.6 x 24.2cm.); a portrait of Sawai Pratab Singh Dawla, gouache heightened with gold on paper, the noble wearing ornate dress stands amongst small flowering plants, facing left he holds out his right hand, plains beyond, gold and beige border between coloured margins, green leaf with red border, gold inscription above, possibly Deccani, late 19th century - 12 x 8½in.
