The deep rounded sides sketchily carved on the exterior with two flower sprays, covered inside and out with a pale blue glaze that continues over the narrow ring foot to cover the base and stops below the unglazed rim which retains much of the original tin mount

Lot Essay

Compare the two Qingbai bowls with remains of a tin mounting around the rim in the Sichuan Provincial Museum illustrated in Zhongguo Taoci Quanji - 16 - Song Yuan Qingbai Ci, Shanghai, 1984, nos. 71 and 88.
