Mino Ware, Shino Type, Edo Period (17th-18th century)
With a pinched rim and set on three loop feet and painted in the interior in underglaze iron-oxide with a stand of flowers and a plover encircled by a border of dots around the inside of the raised lip, the outer edge of the rim decorated with a crosshatch pattern, covered by a thick milky glaze pooling thickly in spots in the interior and exhibiting the finger marks of the decorator
