A Group of Seven Tsuba
Edo period (19th century)
Comprising a round Namban-style tsuba with silver-inlaid confronted dragons and precious emblems; a trapezodal pierced tsuba with gilt highlights and silver-inlaid vines on the rim; a heavy mokko tsuba with pierced design on hollyhock leaves; a round plate with pierced design of a hat, signed Umetada; a pierced tsuba with warriors in a landscape with gilt highlights, signed Hoshu Hikone ju Kanemori saku; a square plate carved with geese and a stream in low relief wth gilt and silver highlights; a round tsuba pierced with gingko leaves, signed Choshu Hagi ju Nakai Tomotsune (7)
