The substantial case in the Louis XVI style, modelled as a vase with cherubs to the neck, the base below mounted with female figures with a jewel casket and surrounded by further cherubs, with vases topped by billing doves to the sides, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with pierced brass hands, the eight day twin barrel movement now with lever escapement, strike on bell, re-gilt, minor losses
