He was a Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup winner with the Dons in 1970 and 1977 respectively. The former of the cup wins was as an inexperienced 17 year old and the latter cup win earned him a move to Leeds United in 1977. He made his all of his 10 International appearances for Scotland whilst with the Elland Road club and in 1983 he joined Manchester United. In 1985 he was transferred to Bradford City.
