Nataliya Borisovna Denisyevskaya was born in Lubny, in the Poltava province July 27th 1923. Denisyevskaya studied and later worked throughout the war as a laboratory technician in Barnaul in the Altai province.

She studied mural painting at the school of industry and arts in Kief, graduating in 1948 and going on to study sculpture under I. Makogon and M. Lysenko at the Kief Arts Institute.

As well as being exhibited abroad, her work was frequently represented at Republican and All-Union art shows. She was consequently awarded the Honorary Diploma in recognition of her artistic contribution. Later, in 1957, she was made a member of the artist's Union.

Animal subjects were for Denisyevskaya a constant source of inspiration for her sculpture and she continued to work in this genre right up to her death in 1996.

Denisyevskaya was best known for her sculptures of horses many of which are usually inscribed N.B. Denisyevskaya. Almost all of her work remains in Russia residing in the Ukranian museums of Kief, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kherson, Simferopol, Putivl, Kramatorsk, and Cherkassy.
