The rectangular coopered ebonised box inscribed in 'L.B.MOSS South Staffordshire Regt',the case distressed, together with a campaign bed mattress
The case - 47¼ in. (120 cm.) wide;
together with another Victorian wrought-iron and brass mounted campaign bed, late 19th Century, disassembled and in a wooden case, inscribed 'H.S.Carey 2nd. BN. South Staffordshire Regiment', lacking mattress - 45 in. (114.3 cm.) long (2)

This type of Officer's Portable French Bedstead, with cloth sacking, japanned black, brass vases and castors 3 ft. by 6 ft 6 in. £2 15 0 A box to pack above, and painting name 17/- was advertised by Heal's in their catalogue of 1866-68, under the heading 'FOR INDIA CHINA, AND THE COLONIES' (S. Gooden, A HISTORY OF HEAL'S, London, 1984, p.6).
