PROPERTY FROM THE COLLECTION OF KIM BASINGER SOLD TO BENEFIT THE PERFORMING ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY The Performing Animal Welfare Society was founded in 1984 as a safe and humane home for abused, retired and surplus elephants, lions, bears and other captive wildlife. Former Hollywood animal trainer and author, Pat Derby, and co-founder, Ed Stewart, created two 130 acre sanctuaries in Northern California which provide the animals with a natural refuge. Currently, PAWS is constructing 2,300 acres of sanctuary in San Andreas, California. PAWS can continue the mission with the help and support of their generous donors. Lots 404-410, being sold to benefit PAWS, were donated by the successful Hollywood actress, Kim Basinger. Thanks to Ms. Basingers support, PAWS can continue to rescue animals and give them a peaceful and safe habitat.
