A EUROPEAN BRONZE AGE SWORD
CIRCA 10TH CENTURY B.C.
With leaf-shaped bronze blade, the pierced hilt with five remaining rivets and notched edges, repaired; and a bronze breastplate attachment from leather cuirass, the roundel with concentric ridges around domed nipple, attachment loop at rear, circa 1000 B.C.
21 5/8 in. (55 cm.) long and 5 5/8 in. (14.3 cm.) diam. respectively (2)
