A GROUP OF EUROPEAN BRONZE SWORDS AND RAPIER BLADES
BRONZE AGE, 16TH-12TH CENTURY B.C.
Comprising three bronze rapiers with swollen tapered blades, finely incised with concentric rings at the top of the blade and extended parallel lines, pierced hilts, 16th-14th Century B.C., 22¼ in. (56.6 cm.) long max.; three other blades with some attachment rivets remaining, circa 12th Century B.C., 22 in. (56 cm.) long max.; and eight bronze swords, the pierced flanged hilts with winged terminals, the blades with mainly broad mid-ribs, late 2nd/early 1st millennium B.C., 29 in. (73.6 cm.) long max., all mounted (14)
