The oval bezel set with cornelian intaglio showing a kneeling figure splitting wood(?), to the right a naked dwarf standing looking on, around the figures is a hatched border
¾ in. (1.7 cm.) across inner hoop

Formerly in a private collection of gold jewellery assembled during the 1920s-1930s: sold Christie's London, 6 July 1994, lot 343.
