AN EAST GREEK OR PERSIAN AGATE PENDANT
CIRCA 6TH-3RD CENTURY B.C.
Of barrel shape, 2 in. (4.9 cm.); a Roman chalcedony phalera, convex, disc-shaped and perforated on both axes, circa 2nd Century A.D., 1 3/8 in.(3.5 cm.) diam.; a rock crystal phalera, disc-shaped and pierced through axis, circa 1st-2nd Century A.D., 1¼ in. (3.2 cm.) diam.; a large rock crystal 'melon-shaped' pierced bead, 1st-3rd Century A.D., 1 3/8 in. (3.5 cm.) high; another similar in pale green glass; and another, chalcedony, similar but smaller, 1st-3rd Century A.D., 1 in. (2.5 cm.) high max. (6)
