Also with document no. CS 36490 dated 12 September 2003 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that the emerald has a total quality integration rating classifies as excellent. And accompanied by an appendix stating that .... this rating category is reserved for a limited number of fine gemstones that exhibit all the individual elements that define the best of a category ..... Because of their unique structure, emeralds are typically enhanced to improve the clarity, desirability and overall beauty. The rarity of a 7 carat gem emerald with no enhancement is exceptional. In under 10 carat sizes, a test sample from AGL's data base of over 2300 fine emeralds resulted in less than three percent receiving the coveted "None" category of clarity enhancement.
