Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the production of the present watch in 1952 and its subsequent sale on 16 March 1953. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that it is offered in public.

The chronograph wristwatch reference 530 with 13''' movement was launched in 1937. It is not only one of the rarest chronograph models produced by Patek Philippe, but also the largest in size. Compared with the otherwise similar reference 130, its diameter is larger by an impressive 4 mm.
