Labels on the reverse read:
"The village of Les Andelys - made up of Le Grand Andely and Le Petit Andely. The village is situated on a bend of the River Seine on the left - a tree covered island - on the right high white chalk cliffs. The picture has been painted by Phillips Fox from the Chateau Gaillard, the 12th century castle of Richard Lion Heart"
