Painted between concentric blue lines with Chinoiserie figures flanking flowering branches issuing from a two-handled urn, a lobster and a staff in the hands of the figure on the left, this central scene flanked by entwined trees in turn flanked by similar flowering branches, the hinged pewter cover with ball thumb-rest, pewter footrim lacking
