Each strand composed of a series of graduated opal beads, measuring from approximately 8.00 to 14.30 mm, spaced by faceted glass rondelles, joined by a polished gold buckle clasp, enhanced by single and old European-cut diamonds, mounted in 14k gold, circa 1969, 37¼ ins. Signed Webb for David Webb

Doris Duke commissioned this necklace from David Webb on 10 October 1969 using opal beads, faceted glass beads and gold clasp she provided. The invoice came to $400.
