An impressive, Victorian Scottish hardstone plaid brooch
designed as a Highland dirk, the cornelian and bloodstone chequered handle with foiled citrine pommel and silver mounts, the bloodstone sheath with engraved silver mounts and locking devise for the retractable dirk, the reverse with lozenge registration mark for the 16th July 1858.
