A pair of late 19th century iron, gold and silver damascene earrings,
the circular iron panels with Spanish damascene scroll, flowerhead, and bead decoration, each with domed centre with damscened floral detail, to twin scroll base, scroll decorated surmount and circular domed top, one panel with engraved monogram PZ to the reverse.

Further details
Placido Zuloaga was born in Madrid in 1834 but lived and worked in Eibar in the northern basque province of Gipuzkoa, where he helped pioneer the production of damascene work in Spain during the 19th century.
