with white enamel Arabic dial, blued-steel moon hands and eight-day two-train movement with count-wheel strike on gong and hourly trip to four-air sectional comb movement, (teeth in groups of four), No. 2588, in mahogany arched case with birdseye maple columns flanking mirrored back and alternating boxwood/ebony demi-lune inlay, on plinth base with three controls for the music, ormolu bun feet and mount of a maiden with garland and cornucopias -- 24¼in. (62cm.) high, the cylinder 8¼in. (21cm.), (old split to front)
