THE STARK MUNRO LETTERS
Sir Arthur CONAN DOYLE. The Stark Munro Letters was begun in Switzerland in January 1894 and accepted by Jerome K. Jerome for The Idler, where it was serialised between October 1894 - November 1895. It was published on 5 September 1895.
Years later he wrote of this book, 'It is the evolution of a young medico, based largely, on the subjective side, on my own experience and feelings. In it I treat religion and science, and then I give the reasons which brought me to a broad Theism'. In Quest of Truth, being a Correspondence between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Captain Stansbury, R. N., 1914, pp. 5-6.
