Autograph letter signed to Lady [Jean] Conan Doyle, Ealing, 10 October 1923, thanking her and Sir Arthur, 'for your wonderful encouragement last night ... you gave me the greatest happiness I have ever known in my theatrical career', 1 page, 4to, pinholes in upper left-hand corner and along left-hand margin; also, printed programme of drama The Return of Sherlock Homes by J.E. Harold Terry and Arthur Rose, Princes Theatre, London, 9 October [1923] with Norwood as Sherlock Holmes, some wear, upper right-hand corner of second leaf torn, and a printed programme for a production of The Crown Diamond, Or, an Evening with Sherlock Holmes, Coliseum, London, May 1921.

Written by Norwood on the day after his triumph on the stage in The Return of Sherlock Holmes.

He played Sherlock Holmes in 47 films in three series between 1921 and 1923. Although few of these survive, Norwood is the actor most closely identified with Sherlock Holmes during the 1920s. (3)
