Rounded rectangular, the front engraved with initials, the sovereign case with gem-set opening and locking device -- 2.1.2ins. (7.4cms.); a 9ct. gold vesta case, each side with stamped scrollwork border in relief, H.M., Birmingham 1897 -- 2ins. (5.2cms.); and a gold-mounted nephrite vesta case with opal set thumbpiece, the front and back with three later applied garnet-topped doublets, the mount with two-colour gold foliate decoration -- 2 3/8ins (6cms.)
