TWO EGYPTIAN AMULETS
THIRD INTERMEDIATE PERIOD, 1070-712 B.C.
Each in the form of a naos, one of faience containing a worn figure of a deity, the front panel topped with six uraei, the sides and back each with the head of a deity, possibly falcon-headed, surmounted by a solar disk, a suspension loop at the top; and one of "Egyptian blue," containing a free-standing ram-headed aegis, the front adorned with a winged solar disk, the left with a seated human-headed deity wearing the Red Crown and supporting an ostrich feather, the right with a seated falcon-headed deity surmounted by a crescent moon and solar disk, also supporting an ostrich feather, the back with a spread-winged falcon wearing a solar disk, with smaller ostrich feathers above each wing
