FIVE CLASSIC WINES WITH EXEMPLARY PROVENANCE
Pristine older stocks of classic Bordeaux are not quite as commonplace as one might imagine. These are wines that have become the trading staples of the global marketplace for fine wine and their storage and provenance often reflects the frequency of change in previous ownership. Not so for the following lots 219-241. These particular wines were purchased from reputable Bordeaux agents following the vintage and since then have remained in the same ownership, only having been stored at Octavian following their shipment to the U.K. All are packed in original wooden cases and have been inspected by Christie's Wine Department staff.
