with signature 'Rowlandson' (lower left in the margin) and inscribed 'Dear Friend-/[have crossed out] agreeable to your request/have sent youa Sett [sic] of the/Dwarf Borders- the amount/of which to the trade-(which/if they wont allow you to be [?...] of you may as often as you/please be accomodated through me)/is £2..14-' (on the reverse)
