A Korean sectional rectangular lacquer cabinet
in two parts on a stand with four feet, the black lacquer panels inlaid in mother of pearl with shou characters flanked by confronting cranes and peach sprays, the sides decorated with mythical tortoise, parrots, further cranes, pomegranates, bamboo, prunus, pine and geometric patterns withinn red lacquer borders, each fitted with two hinged doors, brass mounts -- 30in. (76.2cm) wide and 43¾in. (111.1cm) high, Yi Dynasty, (old damages and wear), sold with original bill of sale, dated May 1933.
