Unidentified seal, Edo Period (Early 19th Century)
Rounded rectangular with attached himotoshi, black lacquer ground, decoration in gold hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and gold foil, inlaid in mother of pearl and coloured ceramic with chrysanthemums among rockwork and scholar's brushes in a brushpot, compartments and risers gold nashiji, with unidentified ceramic double-gourd form seal on the base, manju netsuke, black lacquer ground, decoration in gold hiramaki-e with chrysanthemums, gold nashiji interior, unsigned, 19th Century
