Signed Jokasai, Meiji Period (Late 19th Century)
Lenticular with integral himotoshi, the wood cases with polished lacquer surface, decoration in gold, black, silver, red hiramaki-e and takamaki-e and inlaid in stained ivory, with three puppies, plain wood compartments and risers, signed in gold hiramaki-e Jukasai and Yukinobu ga [painted by Yukinobu] and red kakihan on the base, ivory ojime of a monkey and a mask, small split to top riser
