Oval with attached himotoshi, black lacquer ground, decoration in gold and red hiramaki-e, sparsely sprinkled gold foil, inlaid in coloured ceramic, with birds amongst reeds and bird scarers, compartments and risers gold nashiji, unsigned, ivory ojime of mushrooms, 19th Century
