The letters thank 'one of my responsible heads of the Staff' of Churchill's constituency at Woodford for services during the 1951 general election campaign -- 'My appeal to the electors was not in vain, but I am conscious that without the splendid organisation at my disposal in Woodford, such a result could not have been achieved' -- and again after the 1955 election.
