LOUIS ARMSTRONG HORN
A sterling silver horn presented to jazz great Louis Armstrong as a gift; the manufacturer's engraving on the bell reads "T. Harper's Improved/1851/1862/Kohler & Son/Makers/116 Victoria Street/Westminster/London/No. 190;" an amateur engraving below reads "To Louis the King/& Alpha/From/C.W. Norris Max Norris/In Gratitude/3/7/32." Included are many rare vintage print black and white publicity photographs of Armstrong circa 1930 from the collection of his manager, Johnny Collins.

Louis Armstrong gifted this horn to his manager, Johnny Collins, who then gifted it to the current owner; unfortunately, the provenance regarding who first gave it to Armstrong is now unknown.
