Further details
Stuart Sutcliffe enrolled at the Liverpool College of Art in 1956 before going to Germany with the Beatles as the bassist in 1960. Because his true calling was art rather than music, he left the group to enroll at the State High School of Art Instruction in Hamburg as well as to stay with his German girlfriend, Astrid Kirchherr. Sadly, he died of a brain hemorrahage on April 10, 1962.
