13''', with nickel-finished lever movement, 23 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, the silvered matte dial with applied gold Arabic numerals, gold feuille hands, outer tachometer scale bordering track calibrated for 60 units with Arabic five minute divisions, three subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minute register and phases of the moon combined with date, apertures for day and month, the large circular case with downturned lugs, snap on back, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

This watch is accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1944 and its subsequent sale on July 8th, 1946.

Patek Philippe produced a total of 281 examples of reference 1518, beginning in 1941. It was later replaced by the reference 2499, also a perpetual calendar chronograph, but with a wider diameter and fluted lugs.
