TWO HOPI POLYCHROME POTTERY ITEMS
the first, a canteen, of classic form with flattened back, painted in orange and black on a creamy orange slip, with large circular medallion enclosed by scrolling motifs, the reverse signed with a flower (Sadie Adams), old Hopi Craftsman tag attached, dated July 1938 and inscribed, Hon. Men. Polished Canteens; the second, a tile, of usual form, painted in red and black over a creamy slip, with a broad frame of typical abstract motifs, cross-hatched details, signed Sadie Adams
