A ZUNI POLYCHROME JAR
with concave base, high rounded shoulder, and tapering neck, painted in dark brown and deep orange over a chalky white slip, with a pair of scalloped rosette medallions, flanked on either side by a tier of small stylized daggers surmounted by a tier of heartline deer, each with a narrow band of stylized birds at the mid-section and enclosed by stylized feather arches, hatched geometrical elements on the neck, dark brown underbody inscribed, XZU-73-G and 1963.331
