A Meissen figure of an Emperor
CIRCA 1870, POSSIBLY LOUIS V MODELLED AS A ROMAN EMPEROR, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, PRESSNUMMER 792
Modelled seated on a richly-scrolled chair surmounted by a crown, wearing lavish robes of purple decorated with gilt and black scrolls, with richly-gilt armour to his shoulder, styled as a lion's head mask suspending feathers, with a fleur-de-lys clasp to a gilt belt, a blue skirt, with gilt sandals, holding a laurrel wreath, on a semi-circular base moulded with gilt drapery (minor restoration)
