The first modelled standing at work sawing a tree-stump, he wears a black wide-brimmed hat, purple jacket, white shirt and turquoise breeches, on a square gilt-lined base; the second figure modelled as a youth leaning on a mottled tree stump, wearing a wide-brimmed light-brown hat, a long flowered jacket, striped breeches and purple shoes, he balances a dove on his arm and a sheep stands at his feet
