painted with six alternating circular panels of mythical beasts among clouds and blossoming flowerheads among scrolling foliage, all reserved on relief key fret grounds between honeycomb and ruyi bands, the interior with a caparisoned elephant holding a lotus-form vessel on its back, gilt copper mounts to rim and foot -- 14¼in. (36.2cm.) diam.
