GOLDEN ERA ANDRÉ TCHELISTCHEFF VINTAGES FROM BEAULIEU VINEYARDS

In 1938, just after the repeal of Prohibition, founder Georges de Latour hand picked a Russian immigrant, French-trained winemaker, by the name of André Tchelistcheff to head up the team at BV. It could be argued that Tchelistcheff found that the task before him was to make wines on the scale like those of his neighbor, George Deuer, winemaker for Inglenook. It was during this early history of competition and mutual admiration that a rejuvinated Napa Valley created some of the greatest vintages known to wine connoisseurs. The following selection represents a Golden Era of winemaking for one of the Napa's most historic Estates.
