Nyctea scandiaca
Hand-colored engraving with aquatint and etching, on J Whatman dated 1831, minor surface soiling in the margins and a few soft handling creases, a 2-in. tear in the upper right margin (not extending into the image, with remnants of old tape repair on verso), a few other short tears/nicks in the right margin, a short crease at the lower right margin corner, otherwise in very good condition.
