A PAIR OF GILT-GESSO SIDE TABLES
ONE GEORGE I, CIRCA 1720, THE OTHER OF LATER DATE
Each with rectangular moulded top with re-entrant front corners, the top centred by a foliate spray and issuing further foliate sprays, within a moulded border surround, with foliate scrolls, above a conforming shell-mounted frieze, on a pounced ground, on cabriole legs with leaf-carved leaves and leaf-wrapped pad feet, the apron centred by a shell, with paper label to the reverse inscribed in ink '610,', the 18th century table with losses and refreshments to the gilding and the top probably regessoed, the other table with losses and restoration.
