The silvered dial with Roman chapters and delicate blued steel hands, signed DENT (in a triangle) Maker to the QUEEN, 61. STRAND & 4. ROYAL EXCHANGE LONDON. No. 43355, up/down subsidiary at XII, large subsidiary seconds ring at VI, the movement with circular spotted plates, chain fusee and spring barrel, the escapement with polished steel helical spring, diamond endstone to Dent's blued steel and brass staple balance, Earnshaw-type spring detent escapement with jewelled locking stone, lacquered brass bowl and gimbal, the brass bound mahogany box with E. Dent & Co. printed paper trade label to the inside of the top lid, the centre section applied with a circular enamel plaque inscribed DENT (within a triangle) 43355, the glass applied with a rectangular slip of paper with Japanese characters, vacant inlaid brass cartouche to the top lid and with drop handles to the sides
