of rectangular section, each side filled with a French porcelain Sèvres-style panel painted with courting couples, cherubs and panels of flowers within gilt-scroll borders and reserved on a turquoise-ground, the whole supported on a gilt-metal frame with each corner formed as a swan with arched neck above feet formed as webbed feet, the interior with a single central well with a glass liner -- 7½in. (19cm.) wide, circa 1850 (slight wear)
