A French brass petite sonnerie carriage clock, circa 1890
The corniche case with white enamel Roman dial and blued steel hands, lacking base cover plate, the eight day twin barrel movement with gilt platform to cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat on two gongs to back plate numbered 427, with strike/silent lever to the upper back plate inscribed Alarm/Silence (sic), possibly adapted -- 5 7/8in. (14.7cm.) high to fold of handle; with brown leather travel case
